August 15 2008 :
The diocese, with the support of All Hallows College, presents Pathways: Exploring Faith and Ministry in Cork in September. The runs on Wednesday nights in Farranferris.

May 25 2008 :
Sunday May 25th is the feast of Corpus Christi and the day when parishes organise processions with the Blessed Sacrament in Cork city and in touwns and villages throughout the diocese.

May 10 2008 :
Amended proposal on pastoral areas presented to parish reps and clergy at meetings in the diocese - it's available here for downloading and reading.

Area meetings with representatives from parishes will include updates and discussions of the pastoral area plans announced on March 9th.

Adult Religious Education

The Adult Education Office offers the following services to parish communities in the diocese:

  • Information about programmes and courses currently available in theology, religious studies and ministry in the Cork region.
  • Helps communities to plan and organize local educational initiatives and programmes in their own area, and where needed, is available to help in the running of such programmes.
  • Helps faith development groups to access materials and personnel that might be useful to groups interested in faith development.
  • Organises a series of decentralised programmes in the diocese on various topics related to faith and ministry.   These modules will typically consist of five or six sessions meeting one evening a week.
