Pilgrimage to Lourdes
The Director of Pilgrimages is primarily involved in the organisation of the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. The annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes is held every summer. Parish groups, individuals and anyone with a desire to be part of this faith journey is welcome to partake. An annual collection in the parishes of the diocese is used to assist needy people with travel expenses and subsidises the expenses of required medical and professional help for the sick.

The Annual Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage takes place each year from
the 11th of June until the 16th of June. (This slot between
the 11th to 16th of June is assigned to the Cork and Ross Diocese
and does not change from year to year.)
As the pilgrims who travel with the Cork and Ross pilgrimage are pretty
numerous it is necessary to have at least five planes to cater for
the numbers. One of these planes is reserved totally for the Invalids
who travel accompanied by the nurses and the doctors. 120 places are reserved
for invalids travelling to Lourdes.
All bookings on the Pilgrimage should be made through Joe Walsh Tours office.
